Masorti — means "traditional" and is also the name of the Movement for Conservative Judaism in Israel....Aliyah — means "ascent" and refers to immigration to Israel....Oleh (Olim) immigrant (s) to Israel, literally, one who has "ascended"....Tnuah — Movement....Am — means "people" and is also the abbreviation for Aliyah Masortit....Tnuat Am —"Movement of our People" and also "Movement for Aliyah Masortit"....Shaliach (m), Shlichah (f) — an emissary or representative from Israel serving in communities outside of Israel....Mercaz — means center and thus MERCAZ USA, the Zionist organization of the Conservative Movement, tries to keep us "centered"....Olam — means world, and thus MERCAZ Olami is international Mercaz...Hevrat Mofet — ideal society....Tikun Olam...."repair of the world" (social action).
